Slaves are a garage rock/punk duo hailing from the south east of England. Unlike many British punk bands, these dudes are not swaying towards the American theme but sticking to their Kentish roots. They have supported the likes of The Skints and have now secured a place at Reading and Leeds festivals, playing the BBC Introducing stage. Following the split of Million Dead in 2005, Frank Turner has since enjoyed a hugely successful solo career, accompanied by The Sleeping Souls. His music retains influences from his hardcore punk past, which he revisited last year with a side project, Möngöl Hörde. Since 2007, Turner has released 5 studio albums, including the hugely successful ‘England Keep My Bones’ and ‘Tape Deck Heart,’ which peaked at No.2 in the UK. Man Can’t Fly: An Interview
Formed in October 2012, Man Can’t Fly are a Bradford based Alternative/Acoustic-Rock band who gained recognition when their EP ‘Don’t Waste My Time’ was played on BBC Radio 1 in early June. Since then, they’ve won acclaim from the likes of Sara Cox and Huw Stephens. Post Radio 1 airplay, the band have secured slots at Bingley Music Live 2013 and this year’s BBC Introducing Stage at Reading & Leeds.
